"Let the food be thy medicine and your medicine be thy food"  Hippocrates

We all know that surrounding ourselves with positive minded people can impact how we perceive the world around us. Food is no different. It also has energy and carries a certain vibration, which can be positive or negative. The nature of the frequency of the food we eat has an enormous impact on how we feel, behave, and appreciate the world around us.

Whether we try to heal ourselves from a disease/illness or we are just trying to prevent it from happening in the future, we need to keep in mind that what we put in our body is what makes us who we are. Food is not just a nourishment for our physical bodies. It is also nourishment for our mind and spirit. It supports your holistic health.

Modern lifestyle factors — like a diet of sugar and refined grains, poor sleep, minimal movement, excess stress and environmental toxins — burden our immune system and make us more vulnebrable to immune dysfunction.

If our body is constantly in fight or flight stress response, our immune system shots down. Such malfunctioning immune system becomes a fertile ground for infections caused by bacterias, viruses, parasites, fungus, including such culprits as EBV virus, Lyme disease, HPV, etc. which can wrack havoc on your body. Once your immune system starts a reaction to infection, it produces a huge amount of inflammation, creating an environment for diseases to start or worsen. As a result, we are being manipulated into buying products we don’t need, most of which lead us to being dependent on pharmaceutical companies and which turn our lives into chronic illnesses, autoimmune diseases, imbalanced hormones, symptoms that nobody is able to resolve, etc

How? It all begins and ends with two simple words: nutrition and plants. Eating plant based food will repair, restore, and energize your body, mind and spirit. It will enable you to reverse and prevent majority of the diseases our planet has to offer. It is not fashion trend but rather lifestyle that can change your life and the life of your children.

You don't have to become vegetarian or vegan however, if you replace the animal products and processed foods with nourishing, organic fruits and vegetables, nuts, seeds, and legumes your intestinal flora will start to change. What happens next? You begin to stop craving unhealthy foods and begin to crave the foods that strengthen your body, organs and immune system rather than weaken it. Most of health issues can be resolved just by better taking care of your body.

Following are several tips on how to achieve balance in your body:

  • Eat whole foods, raw organic diet filled with vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, whole grains, legumes

  • Heal your gut with quality probiotics which determine how well you fight off disease and enzymes which ensure that your body can actually absorb and use vital nutrients and minerals

  • Get enough of omega 3 fatty acids – the best and most bioavailable (well-absorbed) source comes from sprouted chia, flax and broccoli seeds

  • When you shop make sure you have all the colors of the rainbow in your basket and whenever possible always buy local and organic produce

  • Learn how to read labels and see what ingredients are added to the product you are buying

  • Buy fruits, vegetables and other produce that are free from genetic modification

  • Stay away from processed foods

  • Support local farmer’s market

  • Make your home-made fermented foods

  • Cook at home and get your children/partner to help

  • Replace white table salt with high mineral content pink Himalayan salt

  • Replace refined white sugar with raw organic coconut sugar or honey

  • Replace margarine or oil with organic coconut oil, avocado oil, flex seed oil, olive oil

  • Use glass and stainless steel for food and water storage

It has been confirmed times and again by numerous researches that “A diet predominately consisting of plants is the most well-supported diet for fighting and preventing disease and living a long healthy life.“

If you make the conscious decision to embrace the plant-based diet you’re less likely to suffer from chronic health conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, type 2 dia- betes, cancer and countless other diseases that are silently killing millions of people every year.

There Is a Better Way. All of This Can Be Avoided.
